Max Muncy

If you look at the A's infield outside of Nick Kurtz at first base, There isn't another left-handed hitter in that court.

When we talk about Kuroda grower, Tommy white, Zach Gelloff, Jacob Wilson, Max Muncy, all these guys that the A's have had on the infield this year, you know, could Donovan Walton be someone that the A's are discussing? I know Jeff McNeil has, has an option as well, but he's obviously on a little bit older than, than Donovan Walton, but you know, hits the three run home run tonight.

I know the guy that can play multiple spots on the infield.

You know, there's, there's some decisions that the A's are going to have to make going forward into 2027 as, as how they're going to stack their infield, and who do they see as valuable members going forward?

Again, even in a lost season, there was one, I actually forgot about the six, nothing come back when in Houston that I didn't even think about until today.

But tonight we are looking at a game in Seattle and a historic third inning for the athletics with the long ball.

As the right-hander delivers in the first pitch that's one on a drive down the left field line hooking in the corner if it's fair it's trouble and it's gone all run for Muncie and the A's now trail two to one just inside that left field foul pole and that's number eight for Max and he wasted no time against Gilbert 103 off the bat.

Talk about his exit velocity, how impressive it has been.

That's the goal.

And speaking of goals, what about the injuries? We've got Max Muncy, Nick Kurtz, George Klassen, Nolan Shanuel, Corrine Paris, Sammy Natera Jr., all on IL.

Plus the long-term ones like Moncada and Rooker.

How does that impact the daily lineup construction?

Now it's just building him up and like you said, having him go out and fill this role.

All right, the news of the day involves Max Muncy going on the I.L. And really great news for the ball club and for him, of course, to have Corota Grauer back.

Yeah, for KG getting this opportunity, I mean, the injury was a difficult one for him to go through, for him to come back and be healthy and finish the season.

Says a lot about the person that's out there, the desire to be a teammate and finish the season off.

Reliever Connor Phillips was recalled for the minors in a corresponding move.

And lastly, third baseman Max Muncy of the A's was placed on the 10-day IL with me, Kondro Malaysia.

He's obviously done for the year, but he had already been removed from the lineup as Shea Langlier's returned from the IL and was seeing most of his time elsewhere.
