I mean, there was a time in my home league that he was ranked like 27th in the league.

And then he gets injured.

at the very least, at the very least, I'll be pronouncing his name right by the... start of the season i'm pretty sure i'm pretty sure i'm right i could no you i think you are remember because i stumbled on it like 30 times back in july or something um all right so i think that's that's good for in terms of our draft again we're just otani we like the hunter brown we like the jake bowers weren't crazy about uh our sp45 being freddy and sandy and then bets and marty maybe important medicine but still medicine nonetheless um so that brings us to our second ad break after this we'll look at the rest of the teams and and some of our favorite favorite picks but we're going to take our second break and we'll be right back after this All right.

So Steve, looking at everybody else's drafts and this is where it gets fun as well, because in a way, this exercise starts the process of targets because you're just looking at everything and you're like, hmm, who goes where? You've got Yuri Perez, who is about to, if not already has, taken that next step forward and is going to be, might even end up being your ace by the end of the next season, whenever that may be.

Max Meyer, all-star pitcher, got injured.

From all indications, the neck issue and other issues have been resolved, and he will be ready to go come spring training and be ready to contribute and hopefully return to that all-star form that we saw in the first half of last season.

Again, I don't expect him to not lose a game for three months, but he was more than effective.

He is durable, pitches innings.

He gives you some coverage if Sandy takes a tiny bit of a step back as he gets a little older.

He gives you a bit of a coverage if Max Meyer gets hurt again, if Jensen Junk doesn't perform well.

It would allow you perhaps to put Tyler Phillips back into the bullpen, which helps you out there.

And so this is a, basically it's a holding tier of like, these are all guys who are good when they're healthy.

There is a strong argument that they will all be healthy and, at the start of 2027 and I'm just leaving them here right now because we have a long way to go before we get any sort of health information on guys like Eovaldi and Max Meyer and Ryan Pepeo and Pablo Lopez and whatever.

So when we have, when I have guys, you know, ranked below like Jackson Jobe or Sean Burke, it's like, okay, maybe in three months, those guys just go above the injury tier.

And that is a 12 spot bump for doing nothing other than being a little safer than the guy that, is injured who I wasn't sure how injured they were in October, you know? And so, you know, for me, the Job thing we talked about the last time was just this year.

I'll sync with that ship because his price has defected, but people still don't want to buy in on the soon-to-be 35-year-old starting pitcher.

Made zero sense.

But Max Meyer got the start out the gate, made 20 starts for the Marlins, 111 innings pitched with an outstanding 268 ERA at 121 Ks.

and it was 111 innings with a 1-1-4 whip.

I'll sync with that ship because his price has defected, but people still don't want to buy in on the soon-to-be 35-year-old starting pitcher.
