By which you mean a government that pays for everything and a taxpayer that pays for nothing.

That's right.

And that's just not possible.

It doesn't matter what part of the political spectrum you're on.

When I worked in politics, people from both sides, right-thinking, intelligent people from both sides knew that to be the case.

And so we have to be sensible about getting the numbers to add up.

Now, the question then becomes, well, what are the principles you put underneath it for that to happen? And this is where things like Home ownership, private property rights are important fruit and markers, but I don't think they're enough as the soil from which you can grow the kinds of things that, you know, that James is talking about in his book and that I think we all want to see regardless of where you are on the political spectrum.

This old story, it's a pretty well-known story.

I mean not everyone will have heard it, I take that, but I think most of us will have come across this story.

So for those who don't know, what is CPX? So

we are a small team of Christian speakers, writers, and producers.

And our mission is to communicate something of the truth, beauty, and goodness of the gospel of Jesus into the public square.

And so we do that in a few different ways.

We do it primarily by speaking in churches, businesses, conferences, universities, anywhere that invites us, really.

We also write articles for mainstream newspapers.
