The Rolling Stones, Prince, Mavis Staples, Dolly Parton, David Bowie, Miles Davis.

These are just some of the musicians Natkin has photographed over the decades.

Chances are you've probably already seen some of Natkin's work, as photos have graced countless magazine covers and are continually used in a variety of other projects.

Which as the owner of the company says, that makes him the tallest midget in the world.

And he's a great guy, they're a great label, and I shoot a lot of album covers for them.

Calls me up one day and he says, I'm going to bring Mavis Staples over to your house to shoot an album cover.

And I've always been, I'm a soul fan and a blues fan.

I mean, she's done some amazing stuff in these recent years.

I have to say, next to Mavis Staples, I've never met a more genuine, lovable, warm-hearted person than Dolly Parton.

of all the artists that we cover.

She has that character about her.

And Gene was like, holy cow, I can't believe you said that.

No, I haven't.

So when you've been hugged by Mavis Staples, you've been touched by an angel, same thing with Dolly Parton.

That's what we think of the great Dolly Parton.

Yeah, I like that Fifth Dimension clip as well, just because I remember spending a fair amount of time during our review on the redemption of that band being one of the really fun, moving storylines from Summer of Soul, and making connections here with other ... topics we're discussing, this is the second appearance of Questlove so far on your list.

He pops up in the Jesus Walks- That's right, yep ... performance in Block Party, and Mavis Staples appearing as well quite memorably in The Last Waltz.

My number three music documentary is, well, I'll not attempt to imitate the central figure, and I'll just give you my favorite exchange, my favorite bit of dialogue from that artist in this film.
