But anyway, that aside, the Men in Black Festival part aside, what Men in Black Birthday Bash is actually called because it celebrates the first appearance of the men in black in Vancouver.

after the Maury Island event.

So the Maury Island event was January 21.

Sure.

Uh, I'd like to talk to him about the, um, Maury Island incident in 1947.

It occurred about a week before the, uh, Kenneth Arnold sighting.

Allegedly occurred before the, uh-

And, uh, he did a number of articles for old, the old UFO magazine.

If you can dig those up, that would be a good place to take a look for information on that case.

I did something in, um, in I think the, the book, uh, Alien Mysteries and Cover-Ups that, uh, came out a couple of years ago, um, about the Maury Island case based on a lot of what George Earley had found and other information.

Interestingly enough, I think it was Chrisman who had written a letter to Ray Palmer, who was the editor of, uh, Science Fiction magazine and started the Shaver Mystery stuff.

He said it looked like saucers skipping on the water, and they said flying saucers.

An odd event unfolded near Maury Island in Puget Sound, Washington.

A harbor patrolman named Harold Dahl claimed that while out on his boat with his son and his dog, he witnessed six donut-shaped craft hovering overhead.

According to Dahl, one of the craft malfunctioned, spewing hot metallic debris that rained down onto the vessel, damaging the boat and unfortunately killing his dog.

Dahl collected samples of the strange slag material and hurried back to shore, shaken and uncertain what he had experienced.

What made the Maury Island incident truly foundational, however, was not the aerial display itself.

It was the bizarre aftermath that unfolded early the very next morning, establishing a terrifying narrative pattern that would replicate across the globe for the next eight decades.

Oh, my.

I mean, you know, I'm not saying that she was abducted, but I'm thinking that there's something going on here that, um, shouldn't be happening.

And, uh, but you know, she, Kristen lives in the Pacific Northwest, and you can't get any weirder than that with, you know, Kenneth Arnold and the nine discs and Bigfoot and, uh, the Maury Island Incident.

Right.

That I believe you were, you f- sort of researched some of that, correct?

The Maury Island?

The man who invented flying saucers.

Yeah.

We really need to examine the Maury Island incident of June 1947, which, you know, is arguably the foundational text for this entire phenomenon.

It

really is.

The skies were heavily monitored.

So on June 21st, there's a harbor patrolman named Harold Dahl.

He's working in Washington state, navigating near Maury Island.

He's on his boat with two crewmen, his son and his dog.

I learned they, they call it TRC.

It was called Roswell versus Washington, and at that debate, I learned much more about the Maury Island incident, which as far as I've been told, is the first ever encounter with the men in black.

And then of course, there's a lot more with that incident.

You know, you'd brought up people being followed here in this case.

Is this men in black that we're talking about, or is that something entirely separate?

Well, you, you brought up the Maury Island case, and I believe that's a hoax.

And in one or two of my books, I talk about it at length and present the evidence.

Uh, George Early, who, uh, lived in that area, was very interested in the case and did an in-depth, uh, three-part article for UFO Magazine about his investigations of the Maury Island case.

Expecting data for his Los Alamos research, Davidson was stunned when the Air Force reclaimed the lab's copy and ceased supporting his inquiries.

The report contained intriguing details, including a Rand Corporation letter requesting access to files on the 1947 Maury Island incident, which Davidson later linked to figures in the Kennedy assassination investigation.

He also noted that the green fireballs reported in the southwest, discussed in the grudge report, were likely tied to U.S. research, a view shared by astronomer J. Allen Hynek.

The second event was the 1952 Washington invasion.

So it's unfortunately going to take a nosedive pretty quickly.

Now, his first story is about June 21st, 1947 in Maury Island in the Maury Island incident.

And basically, there's a man named Harold Dahl who claims to see six UFOs over Maury Island in Puget Sound in Washington State.

He claims one of them crashed and hurt two of his crewmates and his son and killed his dog as well.
