Mauricio Pellegrino

I think I can help the team until the end of the season and I hope we improve a lot and we go far.

You've been an assistant coach under Mauricio Pellegrino a lot throughout your career.

What have you learned from him?

I have learned a lot from him.

In the meantime, for the rest of the season, Xavi Tamarit from Spain, who is an assistant under Mark Dos Santos, will be our interim head coach.

For those of you who don't know anything about Xavi, he's a long time assistant under Mauricio Pellegrino.

He coached at Valencia, he coached at South Hampton, and he, this year, coached in MLS for the first time under Mark Dos Santos, came in earlier this year, and is now taking over for the team.

We have six games left in the season, including a really crazy one.

There are three things to stick out, what he brings to the table His familiarity with the players and what they need at this very moment, which is a unique circumstances.

He is an author of many books about methodology and performance and tactics, which I think is also pretty interesting about this coach who has been an assistant specifically under Mauricio Pellegrino, who is an Argentine legendary defender and has had chances to coach not only at Valencia in Spain, Alaves, Cadiz, also coached at England briefly with Southampton.

I believe they were in the EFL Championship at the time.

And then in Argentina and Chile, Independiente Velez, Ude Chile, and then Lanus, where Pellegrino still is.
