You've got Brad Meldow, Matthew Shipp, William Parker, legendary jazz bassist.

He's doing one of these residencies where he's going to do multiple shows spotlighting different classic albums of his.

Vijay Iyer, Bill Frizzell.

All the compositions are by Lowe, and his notes for each track are so witty, but even without his descriptions, the 69 tracks can all stand out on their own.

The one I'm playing right now is a duo of Alan Lowe's tenor sax and the piano of Matthew Shipp.

He calls it Sorrow Song on the Cooling Board and describes it as an exploration of the sadness of memory or the memory of sadness.

Lots of memories as I go back and look at the last 10 years of discovering jazz.
