Matthew LeCroy

Miguel Sano type of swing.

Matthew LeCroy is somewhere in the ethos trying to find.

I thought you wanted to guess.

Deleon Eskridge.

Uh, it was, uh...

It's hard to describe how great it felt for a lot of reasons, right? For, for our manager, Matt LeCroy, who, uh, this was his sixth year with the Wings and has just become a, an honorary Rochesterian.

[chuckles]

Um, and i- you know, has just been more, a lot more than just a great baseball man and a great baseball manager.

If we had won that game, we would've won the first half and hosted all the playoff games.

But we lost, and after that, you know, I figured this, it was so deflating and, uh, for everybody.

But Matt LeCroy said to me, he goes, "Don't worry.

We're gonna win the second half, and we're gonna make the playoffs." And I was like, "Oh yeah, of course we are."

Like, we just haven't had a whole lot of prospect talent, and we had that this week, which was really great.

Um, but the other thing, too, that I thought was really cool was talking with both managers, um, Scott Hennessey on the Oklahoma City side and Matt LeCroy on the Rochester side.

They just both credited their guys with how much they wanted to be there.

And anybody who has worked in a, a minor league, uh, capacity knows that you kind of get to July, August, September, and there are some teams that want to be there, and there are some teams that really don't want to be there, uh, and would rather just be headed home for the off-season.

Every day I still pinch myself.

Uh, you know, it's been kind of a whirlwind the last couple of weeks, you know, just to get into the playoffs, came down to the very last day of the season.

Um, and, and then winning it in, uh, in Memphis and then making the trip out to Vegas, um, it's just been a crazy couple of weeks, but, uh, very gratifying for our, for our staff, and obviously our manager, Matt LeCroy, and our players.

Yeah.
