I've gone so far as to say that the conduct of The Intercept has been malpa- malpractice to the point of criminality, in that employees of The Intercept have acted so poorly that their actions have resulted in the incarceration of national security whistleblowers.

And I'm looking at you, Rich Esposito and Matthew Cole.

So please tell us about the media and your own experience with the media, and why there are so many bad journalists out there who claim to be national security journalism professionals, and who are either so incompetent that they can't function as journalists or, and I don't think I'm looking into this too deeply, who are maybe working on behalf of the intelligence community or the FBI.

Well, I think the media can be a double-edged sword, and some journalists have been heroes for whistleblowers.

Reality Winner, listen, I feel bad for every national security whistleblower who puts his or her life and livelihood on the line to release information showing waste, fraud, abuse, illegality, or threats to the public health or public safety, as you said.

Reality I felt especially bad for because she sent one single page to The Intercept, and Matthew Cole and Rijess Bhozito, the two journalists from The Intercept with whom I have a very bad personal history, [coughs] sorry, these are guys who promote themselves as seasoned national security investigators.
