In July 2024, the company hired Matthew Chauncey, another Marvel mainstay, who wrote on the brand's first animated series, What If?, to replace DiMaio as head writer of X-Men 97 for an already greenlit third season.

It's now been over two years since DiMeo's dismissal, with no major updates regarding his legal case against Marvel, which is currently scheduled to go to trial in July 2027.

Oh boy, that's going to be interesting.

okay all right all right um so we already know that this has been a double renewal season three is coming in 2027 and yes season four has been greenlit and that will be hopefully coming to us in 2028 The series created by Beau DeMaio, who was pushed out after season one, but still wrote, I believe, more than or at least half of this season.
