Additionally, something like Matthew 19 uses the word to where it says the two will become one sarks, one flesh, obviously not

a

sinful nature.

And so he loosens that law.

And in Matthew 19, he gives that ability to the church to say, now you have the ability to bind and loosen the laws, which is why denominations like the Episcopal Church, like the PCUSA, like the american national catholic association have all said well we are we are loosening this law we're loosening our understanding of this law to say no we see the spirit at work in homosexual folks and so we are not going to reject that the sixth the sixth layer of defense is even if we couldn't loosen the law the kosher law loosens to allow in gentiles who are far more condemned This passage is not ultimately about homosexuality.

It begins with the condemnation of the Egyptians and the Canaanites, and it ends with the condemnation of the Egyptians and the Canaanites.

This is not about condemning homosexuals.

Matthew in chapter 19.

Notice what he says to his apostles.

Matthew 19, verse 28.

Matthew 19, verse 28.

Jesus said to them, truly I say to you, in the new world.

And we're going to pick right up with the rich young ruler.

Last week we started in on Matthew 19.

We concluded in verse 20 with the first half of the rich young ruler.

We saw the irony of him coming to Jesus and in a day and age where there was two schools of thought.

Whenever something's on the internet, you just never know.

It's like you always got to talk to the attorney to make sure it's all good.

So Jesus is setting the stage in Matthew 19 with the rich young ruler to expose the insecurity within all of our hearts.

And today we're going to find Jesus' response.

And they are to be preeminently rewarded in the regeneration.

Such considerations and comparisons as these are not to be overlooked in estimating the authority by which they wrote.
