Scripture says, "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." What an amazing promise, that God would give us the keys of the kingdom of heaven.

And later in Matthew 18:18, He tells the rest of His disciples, "Truly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." You and I are called to live with the authority of our Savior.
