Would you look at Chris Brooks or Marchand Lloyd as a start this week, or are you just saying to kind of avoid this whole backfield for now?

Somewhere when we mention the name Chris Brooks, I see Matt Waldman doing the Jack Nicholson meme.

Mm-hmm.

Mm-hmm.

He looked explosive, the leaping ability, the wingspan.

Like, you, you saw a lot with him this week, and Matt Waldman pointed it out really well in one of his long plays that he, he tweeted out that they're actually using him the right way now.

And I, I think that's just the Joe Brady effect.

Um, I, I really like what this offense looks like running through DJ Moore and Kincaid in the passing game.

Um, and I think just watch, like, there's a way I think, Brett, watching, just ta- talk about this.

Like, 'cause I know with Matt Waldman, he really put in my mind the idea of get into the head of the player as a problem solver, and understand what they have at their disposal physically, but really get to that point where you're watching a play and simulating it, like presented with this visual data and this problem, this is what I choose to do.

And I think when you watch whole games every week, you see the play callers doing that.

Mm.

... round five in one draft, and then I went back in a nu- another draft two days later, and he was right back into round three.

I, I think our colleague Matt Waldman would tell you that round five is probably the right place for him healthy, right?

Mm-hmm.

So, like this is gonna be somewhat of a split.

Um, but I'm gonna go, again, you know, sometimes, especially this, you know, when you're getting this much of a discount, well, we know what, we know what the Colts want to happen here.

The Colts want to happen, uh, him being a wide receiver one and earn $114 million over the next few years.

Uh, you talk to our colleague Matt Waldman, he'll tell you he's w- a way more well-rounded receiver than he's given credit for.

Everyone sees him as the one-trick pony.

I did their shows Tuesday and Wednesday.

Today, I'll be doing Jake Seeley from The Ath- Athletics Show, and Matt Waldman from Football Guys.

You could not ask for better friends.

And the reason I thought to mention it is because I truly can't remember when we-- which show I was doing when we talked about Alec Pierce, but on one of them, the host said, "You know, I hear you that he's a riser, but I, I have some reservations," because of course they do, because, you know, it sounds like Pierce's ankle was a mess, and he certainly could be one more hit away from another ankle problem.

If you hear this on Thursday and register real quick, you can get thrown in the pool to be a winner for tomorrow's big drawing.

Uh, and then I will go to sleep after, [laughs] after that.

The Almanac comes out tomorrow, the second edition, and I'll put the finishing touches on that today, as well as doing a couple of drafts and making a couple of other appearances on Jake and Matt Waldman's shows.

And, uh, we'll keep track of what the heck the book is doing as well.
