Matt Sweeney

And then it happened to be the same week I was My dad asked me to give a line to the New York Times, I think.

Because I was also doing Skunk with Matt Sweeney.

Oh, you were doing that already?

It seems like I remember the paper thing said that I was in a pair of bands.

Did Charlie do that live? Was that recreated live or was that like a studio thing?

um i think the studio thing um you know jay we did fort apache south was the first ep and uh that was um tim o'hare and then sean slade was there for the second for the i was kind of co-producing with jay and then i think they then i wasn't allowed in the studio anymore because i like to experiment with things so probably something they came up with

you mentioned skunk how do you end up meeting matt sweeney

Um, Sweeney is friends with a bunch of guys from my college.

What else did we have? Let's have a look.

It was Tenari Wind featuring Kurt Vile and Matt Sweeney.

Yeah, and on to next we have Bit of Christoph El Tranto, Swamp Man Stomp

StompOh, you stupid bloody fool.

He gave a talk there about a Bluegrass book that he's working on and just a really... smart, interesting, thoughtful guy.

He and I talked about this random episode of Matt Sweeney's Guitar Moves video series from years ago where Diener is on there talking about really the only thing he learned from guitar lessons was basically where to hold his guitar.

It's either above the dick or below the dick.

Diener's a below the dick guy.
