Is this a pulp martial arts revenge drama? A superhero story? A coming-of-age soap opera about four orphaned teenagers? If I had to summarize it, I would do so with a phrase that I picked up from the podcast War Rocket Ajax, which is that Marvel Comics BS.

TMNT in its earliest phases is most obviously influenced by Daredevil, which combined crime drama and martial arts story in a way that reflected the things its creators, most notably Frank Miller, loved.

And Daredevil mainly fights gangsters and serial killers and ninjas, but he has encountered, I don't know, Ultron.

That's not a Frank Miller story, neither is the big one where he fights Klaw.

But he's a Marvel Comics superhero.

which happened about a week after I said on Recovered that I felt we were a year away from announcing the recast Daredevil because they were never going to put Marvel

Netflix in the movies.

And then before that episode had a chance to air, Matt Murdock's in a Spider-Man movie and Wilson Fisk is on Hawkeye.

loves to screw with me.

So if you see somebody that's putting that much urgency and their blood, sweat and tears into what they're creating, that deserves some attention from the retailers.

Somebody who's just going to put out a poly bag for a Daredevil number one that turned out to be not a great comic, it's not going to guarantee you return readers.

So look at what is generating excitement and then compare that to what's generating repeat demand.

Instead of going for the hype, go for the loyalty and put those two together.

And, uh, Bring them back home and then I'll probably just do like one day campaign and then one day testing out a new hero that I haven't played yet.

So like Daredevil or still haven't played Hulkling.

I have this fun idea.

I thought about like just recording, like making a super video and playing through like the whole Fear No Evil campaign.

But before that, so I was super excited to play Daredevil.

So I just been playing Daredevil against like various villains.

Bill Hester and Mark Millar's Swamp Thing run is just being re-released in Omni.

Charles Sewell's Daredevil run is being re-released in Omni in the beginning of next year.

You can pretty much find any X-Men story in Omni because they print them like candy.

Same with Avengers.

You need to do that later.

Alright, Daredevil number seven.

So, Elektra did a nice little wrap-up of this arc, which I really liked.

But yeah, I mean, you know, if you think about Marvel TV, they've hit on all cylinders.

Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Daredevil himself, Charlie Cox.

Again, that's Marvel

TV.

She's from Greek heritage.

And Jennifer Garner can pull off a Greek heritage person.

The Elektra they cast in the Marvel Studios Daredevil show is Asian.

Not saying that it's wrong to have an Asian Elektra.

is kind of crazy,

you know? So in the mayhem of like almost getting run over by this van and stuff and Daredevil swooping in and saving the day, the boy and the dog get separated.

And so Daredevil doesn't realize that the boy is blind, you know? And the kid's like, where's my dog? Where's my dog? And Daredevil's like, don't worry about it.

Just go find him.

He's like, but I can't.

He's my seeing eye dog.

I'm blind.

Daredevil's like, oh my God.

Well, I would think Camelot's gonna be in the top five for sure.

I wanna throw Daredevil, but I don't know how much that one dropped off.

I can't remember when Frank Miller left.
