Matt Luff

Now, other players placed on waivers in order to be assigned to Hamilton.

Mitchell Chafee, Liam Foody, Dalen Kufler, Matt Luff.

And then, without being placed on waivers, the following players were assigned to Hamilton.

Alex Jeffries, Josh Kotai, Daniil Prokhorov, Marshall Warren, and Matthew Highmore.

They love to pressure the weak side defensemen.

If D'Angelo or Bear get isolated in their own zone, is this going to be another long night for Matt Luff and Simon Holmstrom on the wings?

It's a distinct possibility.

The Devils will target the middle.

We're going to do this date in Kings history, and I found this as a little logo for this date in Kings history.

This date in Kings history, the Kings signed Matt Luff, and I...

Would have remembered this one.

I remember Matt Luff.

Sorry, I'm going to put my face in there.

I remember seeing Matt Luff in development camp and rookie camp and thinking, wow, this kid actually has a shot of making it.

It's like one of the rare cases of a guy that's an invite to development camp.

He wasn't drafted.

Alex Jeffries.

Matt Luff.

Daniil Prokhorov still with the big club.

And then you've got Kashawn Aitchison still among the defensemen, Matt Kessel among the defensemen, and Marshall Warren.

The roster, however, has been released.

The forwards in alphabetical order, Matthew Barzal, Mitchell Chafee, Casey Sezekis, Anthony Duclair, Cole Iserman, Victor Eklund, Pierre Engvall, Quinn Finley, Emil Heinemann, Simon Holmstrom, Beau Horvat, Alex Jeffries, Dalen Kufler, Joey Larson, Matt Luff, Matthias Michelli, Kyle McClain, Jesse Nermy, J.G. Paggio, Andre Palat, Daniil Prokhorov, Cal Ritchie, Braden Shen, and Gleb Vremyev.

On defense, Kashawn Aitchison, Ethan Baer, Tony D'Angelo, Isaiah George, Matthew Kessel, Scott Mayfield, Callie Odelius, Adam Pellick, Jesse Polkanen, Ryan Polak, Alexander Romanov, Matthew Schaefer, Marshall Warren, And then in goal, Josh Kotai, Ilya Sorokin, Henrik Tikkanen, Vitek Vanacek, Semyon Varlamov.

Those are the players that we're going to see on the ice, and they report today.

One of the two great skates early on.

Matt Luff comes for his time, which was maybe a few hours after the game.

Tyler Spiza is on the ice doing his laps.

Matt's in the tent getting ready with the skates.

I think you guys know one person who did it.

There may have been a few other culprits.

Another side story, Matt Luff is afraid of ketchup.

I don't know that he knows that I did this, but I used to hide ketchup packets in his stall all the time.

Let's look at the wingers.

We have Anthony Duclair, Victor Eklund, Emil Heineman, Alex Jeffries, Matias Maccelli, Andre Pallard on the left, and Mitchell Chaffee, Quinn Finley, Simon Holmstrom, Matt Luff on the right.

Who stands out?

On the left wing, it's clearly a three-man race for spots.

That's probably a safety net in case Simeon Varlamov cannot go.

Then Matthew Kessel, Matt Luff, and Mitchell Chafee.

Are there other UFA signs? And when you see that their captain, Anders Lee, is off to Utah, David Riddick, the backup from a year ago, is in New Jersey, Max Shabanoff, Matt Gatcombe, also gone from this club.

To me, this is the same team as last year without their captain.

But Heineman, he's been a bit inconsistent in the minors.

Does he earn his spot, or does Matt Luff or Simon Holmstrom steal it? Remember, Holmstrom has proven he can score in the NHL.

[static] Holmstrom is the veteran presence.

He's reliable, but Eklund's ceiling is higher.
