Notre Dame went with essentially a three-man rotation at wide receiver for the entire North Carolina game.

The only other receiver to see snaps on offense was Matt Jeffery, and he was basically acting as an additional tight end, uh, as a blocker.

And I've already expressed my issues with the lack of rotation at receiver this week, so I'm not gonna go through all of that again.

But I want the passing game in this match up to look more like what we saw against Rice, with a bunch of guys getting opportunities in every area of the field.

"In a shameless plug for Matt Jeffery, what else does he realistically need to show to earn 15 to 20 reps a game? I mean, not only do good things happen when he is on the field, see his IPP grade, but others at his position continue to struggle.

I feel he has earned more playing time at wide receiver.

In your opinion, what else can he do?" And, and for those that don't get the reference, IPP grade is something that MegaZutar, uh, invented on the board in another separate post.

And, you know, also Noah contributed to one of those.

Noah Grubbs contributed to one of those touchdowns throwing the ball to Matt Jeffery, and so you have depth.

Um, but I think it's just guys just continuously focus on executing, and when the opportunity presents itself, they're taking advantage.

Can I ask you what the sideline's like when that Noah to Matt Jeffery touchdown happens? Because that's got to be pretty fun late in the game for those guys to get in the end zone, huh?

Yeah, they go, they went nuts.

And we watched the clip in a meeting, um, and the guys went nuts because One, they're excited for him.

it leads me to a question just about guys that used to be walk-ons.

We've talked about Jordan Faison, Matt Jeffery, who we're going to see as block punt when we break down the film a little bit later, and Luke.

They're all having an impact, obviously.

And everybody's got their own journey.

We're trying to get three to the shield on our right side.

They do their job, right? But it ends up being a rugby punt, okay? And so here's a great thing that Coach Biagi teaches.

So if you're on this punt unit, these two guys, they're right in middle shield, have our two guys, right? Rodney and Matt Jeffery.
