I'd love to hear a little bit more about Deanna if you have anything you'd like to share.
20:48
Oh, I could talk about Deanna forever.
20:50
We met, I guess, in 2021.
20:54
And we were telling a story for EB Research Partnership about her using her art to not only express herself, but it was, I think, also a way for her to raise awareness about her condition, which she did with no filter in the best way possible.
21:10
Yeah.
21:12
she was not only on top of like being an incredible artist she was just like a really cool person that had lived with so many challenges you know you can't imagine having you know i think four bouts of skin cancer and having to have an amputation on a dominant arm that she used to create her art but She learned how to use her left hand to paint and continue using art to express herself and to move through pain.
21:43
I miss her very much, and I think the community does.

I'm wondering, how did you pick what went into the documentary, and what did that collaboration look like during the post-production process with editor James Yates?
11:45
You know,
11:46
the list goes on and on.
11:47
And so that was really inspiring to me as a storyteller, you know, as a filmmaker, like how...
11:53
this is a story in the world where we're seemingly have unsolvable problems.
11:58
Like look at what this organization and this group of people are doing to tangibly cure this disease.
12:05
And I think Ed says in the movie, like it's not false hope, you know, it's, it's happening.
12:11
And, and when we started the film, There was one FDA approved treatment you see in the film, Rowan Haller being treated with the first FDA approved treatment, which was just several months prior.

How do you approach the balance between showing the hardship with resilience?
