And so I'm sitting there watching this video, watching your sermon from 11:22 on loving your wife, and I made the decision I was gonna love my wife.

And so Sunday, today, I got up, and I said, 'Baby, we're going to church.

We go to church here at Canvas Church,' and you walk out on the stage."

Hey, it's so good to be with you this morning.

I wanna invite you to open up your Bibles to the book of Matthew, chapter 23.

If this is your first time, we are genuinely glad you're here.

We're going verse by verse through the text.

We believe at 1122 that our power in preaching is not in our cool stories, but in the word of God, amen? And so we are going through Matthew 23.

Is it just for that kind of usage? Because I think I was reading on your site or maybe somewhere that this is a roading material as well.

So to start was to get into the New Zealand market.

My goal is to support rubber importer or rubber product importers.

So rubber matting to work with the distributors of that type of product to replace the imported product with the New Zealand manufactured product.

Now, one of those products is a virgin rubber product that's used in roading.

It's currently mainly imported from the Middle East by the contractors, Downers, Fulton, Hogue and Higgins.

And so we've got a product there to replace that to go into our roads.

it easy to get the staff and the capital that you need there around Thames and Kopu?

I read a book from a woman who came out of a same-sex attraction lifestyle, and m- she made this point wonderfully about this is one of the reason ...

Like, if we as a church can make a more robust theology of the family, that oftentimes same sex attracted or gender, people with gender issues will f- will have a place, right?

I mean, there's been a few times where we've done specific sermons just to the singles because we've done a ton of them on how to be married and how to raise kids and all that.

Mm-hmm.

Before we're done, you said there's the blood of Jesus, and from now on you're not, you know, done forever if you've, if you've gone through divorce.

But I did hear you one time talk about specifically walking through repenting of what happened in that season and living in some more freedom.

Many fans come up to me every day and ask me loads of questions like, what is your favourite colour? I say electric phlegm, of course, because that is the colour of my team, Champions League and Premiership Trophy winners, Snotford Drovers FC.

People have lots of questions for me like that, so I thought I would write my story so you can get to know the real me that is not on the news and not the not real me that is on the news.

I had a normal start in life.

I was born in Losing Stoke Hospital just down the road from Snotford FC.

Like, now we want to see what are we at, where are we at in 2026? What, like, was part of the motivation when you see all these people singing along to these songs from 20 years ago, does it give you motivation of, maybe we can make that kinda album again? Like, maybe we can make those songs again?

It's, the motivation in some way is a very pure thing with music, and it kind of goes, like, up and down or in and out over the life cycle where, you know, before you're playing shows or have fans or anything, you're already trying to generate and make music because it, you, it- it's an automatic thing.

Like, you hear it in your head or you noodle on the guit- Like, it, you're ch- fundamentally chasing music to create it is more the thing than play shows in front of, like, chicks and ma- sell T-shirts is a secondary thing.

So the fundamental thing that draws you in the first place is get the guitar, get the drum set, get them in the same garage, find somebody that knows how to play a drum fill, see if you can make the magic happen in the room, is the fundamental thing.

And touring, performance takes that over, and performance is almost an enemy of that in a way because you get, like, attention and money and stay busy.

And it's not really so creative in that same way.

So you're always kinda trying to balance those, and you get so lost after you've put out music that you, now you're aware of who people think you are, what you thought you were doing, and it becomes harder to reconnect to how did we do it in the first place.

But, yeah, when's the last time Sprinkle's been involved with an Emery album?

Right.

Now, this didn't happen really when they were super young, but it happened a couple of times when they were teenagers.

And I went, man, that's impressive, first of all.

But I remember Sammy one time when I was thinking about when my wife and I were praying and about going to Sagemont, the second church.

The pastor lost his home for 18 years and then took a church revitalization in Houston, and we were seeking the Lord on it, and we were gonna have to move my youngest son his freshman year in high school.

And we had made the decision, we weren't gonna do it unless the Lord really spoke to him about it.

And we came to him and presented it to him, and I'll never forget what he said.

And every time I do it my own way, it goes bad, man.
