Matt Blake and his team – are absolutely fantastic.

Blake has really turned me around this season because I was not a fan.

That guy never seems to know when to make mound visits and all that stuff.

But the way our starting pitching and our pitching staff work this season, Matt Blake and his team have convinced me otherwise, and I am a fan of our pitching team.

Anyway, let's get into some other stuff because I want to talk about fundamentals for the Yankees on the defensive side of the ball.

So here's the question with the rotation, right? In my mind, and what I've been thinking this whole time, is just give Cam the ball game one, right? Give Cam the ball game one, set the tone, take game one, put them on the brink of elimination, put all the pressure on Boston, and go and figure out a way to win one of the next two, right? The Yankees left it open for a couple of different reasons.

One, like Blake has talked about giving him an extra day, and that's why – and Ryan, I don't know if you have it, but I asked Ryan, the producer, to see if we have the numbers on Cam on extra day this year.

In other words, he's a last-ditch resort.

That's what the rumor is, the buzz is.

A lot of talk about the Aaron Judge situation as well as now.

Matt Blake, as well as yesterday, Aaron Boone kind of floated the idea of Cam Schlittler not necessarily starting Game 1 and possibly starting Game 2 of the Wild Card Series.

Matt Blake kind of echoed that possibility.

Um...

Again, he's still, no matter how you look at it, right? And here's what I'll say before.

So I'm trying to think if it matters to me.

Does it matter all that much whether he pitches game one or game two? He's getting one start in the wild card, and he still gets two starts in the ALDS if they get through.

So does it matter? And if it's based on, I mean, I trust Matt Blake on how they think he'll feel.
