Matt Bettinelli-Olpin

Yeah, I, I feel, I, it's, I...

We're like lining up on pretty much all these movies, but yeah, I think, uh, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett-

Yeah

... who directed 5 and 6, are very talented directors, and the, the way they make the movies are, is very, very good, even with this one being only one year apart from Scream 5.

And, uh, since this is, like, super fresh in my mind, and of course it was, like, the first time that I saw it, I'm like, "Okay, I think I can, I think I can do this summary." So again, like I, like we mentioned, it came out in 2022.

The original title is just Scream, even though it is Scream 5, and it was directed actually by a team, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett.

So two directors for this one.

Um, I believe Bettinelli-Olpin was, like, the main director and Tyler Gillett sort of came in and helped out.

Instead, filmmakers would get the freedom to take one classic monster and tell a single standalone story, the approach that produced 2020s The Invisible Man.

In April 2023, the trades reported the next experiment, a reimagining of Dracula's Daughter, written by Steven Shields and Guy Busick, and directed by Radio Silence, the filmmaking team of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, fresh off Ready or Not and the two most recent Scream movies.

For Radio Silence, the appeal was creative freedom.

After two Scream movies, the directors have said they were eager to get out of a franchise's constraints.

I'm going to skip over a story that I'm really excited about to talk about this story because we just brought up radio silence.

Um, universal announced that a new mummy movie with original stars, Brendan Frazier and Rachel vice and directed by radio silence, which is, uh, Matt Bettinelli open and Tyler Gillette, uh, will open on May 19th, 2028, which I believe is the spot that both of those Mummy movies, or no, Mummy opened, I think, early May.

The originals, at least the first two with Frasier and Weiss.

I think it's the first weekend of May, but these radio silences directing the new one with them, it's going to open in 2028.

A group of friends move to New York City, some call it the Big Apple, following the most recent Woodsboro murders, and soon discover there's a new Ghostface killer attempting to kill them.

This film was directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett.

Stars Courtney Cox, Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Roger Jackson, Dermot Mulroney, Samara Weaving, Jack Champion, Josh Segarra, Liana Liberato, Hayden Panettiere, and Devyn Nekoda.

What a cast.

Hey.

And written by R. Christopher Murray and, brr- Brr ... super friend of the pod, Guy Busick.

And ready or not to, here I come from 2026.
