But you look at the other additions, like Matias Maccelli out.

Okay, Rasovik or Maccelli, who would you prefer? I mean, Rasovik's just scored back-to-back 20-goal seasons.

You probably would take Jack Rasovik.

Let's look at the wingers.

We have Anthony Duclair, Victor Eklund, Emil Heineman, Alex Jeffries, Matias Maccelli, Andre Pallard on the left, and Mitchell Chaffee, Quinn Finley, Simon Holmstrom, Matt Luff on the right.

Who stands out?

On the left wing, it's clearly a three-man race for spots.

Like, I don't know, it is just interesting to me that that would fall so far down.

And if the Islanders find a way to win a Cup over the next handful of years, you look at Ilya Sorokin as that reason.

Uh, one of the additions that Matthew Darts did make was Matias Maccelli from the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Seventy-one games last year, thirty-nine points, was a minus twenty-three, but, uh, Toronto kind of fell apart a little bit there towards the end of the season.

Yeah.

Uh, what's your thought on him and, and how do you see him fitting into the fold for this team?

Yeah.

I like it as a low-risk, high-reward move, right? You look at a guy like Maccelli, again, the Leafs fell out of it.

Maybe he was being, you know, the Pierre Engvall treatment, if you will, even though Engvall hasn't worked out with the Islanders, but a guy that kinda got sheltered on, on a struggling team or a deep team, if you will, with Engvall a couple years ago.

They got hot and made it.

The Islanders fell off, and the Islanders didn't do anything to change the team besides lose your captain and bring in Matias Maccelli.

Uh, sure, you got rid of Roy and DeBoer, but again, it's gonna be tough, man.

It is gonna be tough.
