Mater Dei High School

We always went south toward Evansville.

You were pretty big on the Mater Dei sectional, 'cause that's both genders.

That's another tight one.

one.It is, yes.

[laughs]

We'll g- we'll go where the, uh, the hotly contested battles are.

But yeah, if you're, if you're talking on the girls' side here, I mean, another one where it's almost a 50/50 split, um, between who's kind of predicted to win the, the girls' sectional there at Mater Dei.

It's, it's between Mater Dei, the team, and, uh, Castle, and, uh, they both kind of look like they rely on some pretty big pack running, um, a- and not a lot of just off-the-top, uh, amazing, uh, first-place talent.

I will stay away from sectional 31.

But sectional 32, the Evansville Mater Dei, Memorial, that, that ...

You know, you got Heritage, you got North Harrison there, you got Princeton commu- community, you've got South Ridge.

I obviously, I think the, the big one people are gonna talk about is Memorial and, and Mater Dei out of that, out of that sectional.

And throw Gibson Southern in there, too.

Uh, and, and-

Yeah, Gibson Southern

... again, uh, you know, Gibson Southern is not to the point yet where they get to see the Mater Dei and Memorials during the regular season.

Lawrenceburg, ten, six and two, will go down to Charlestown on Thursday night at six o'clock to take on the host Pirates, who are ten, two and four on the year.

The winner of that match will head to Heritage Hills for the regional championship on Saturday afternoon, a late afternoon start, four o'clock, after a girls regional championship, and the winner of Lawrenceburg and Charlestown will face either Gibson Southern or Evansville Mater Dei.

Gibson Southern is twelve, five and one.

Evansville Mater Dei is eight, seven and two.

And finally, in boys soccer in Class A, the Oldenburg Academy Twisters and head coach Ken Goetz are sectional champions for a fifth year in a row.

They defeated South Ripley three to one on Saturday night to win the sectional down at Jackson Dell.
