All right, this is kind of a cool story.

It's every cook for themselves in MasterChef Canada kitchen, and Edmonton is going to be represented this year.

Woo.

CTV News has the story.

Janesh Bali is a home cook from Edmonton and one of 16 contestants looking to garnish their way to victory on Season 9.

Uh, and Bali's family hails from Fiji, and his cooking inspiration comes in part from his mom and his grandma.

And he's gonna be on MasterChef Canada, so that's pretty cool.

I think it might work.

And today we're going to talk about food competition.

We'll be talking to the hosts of MasterChef Canada, which gets going very shortly.

They have a special announcement about a special guest as well.

So another season of that coming up.

I'm going to eat as much as I can and take it with me.

We're talking about food competition and food competition shows and the chefs who are involved, the judges, et cetera.

MasterChef Canada is going to be kicking off and we'll talk to the hosts of that show coming up a little bit later.

But Tanner, I'm going to hit you with the names of some of the big chefs from some of these shows and just get your thoughts on each one and what they bring to the party.

And he's a restaurateur, a chef, and a bartender, and that's where his expertise comes from.

But this week, we talked to the judges of MasterChef Canada.

Their new season kicks off on September 18th.

It's Tuesday evenings on CTV, and then it's streamed on Crave starting the next day, each episode.

And so I just want to play you some clips.

We talked to the two hosts of MasterChef Canada.

Currently, it's Hugh Atchison, a chef and cookbook author, and Craig Wan, who's a chef and restaurateur.

And so we talked to them.
