So it was just driving around with our tins and popping into sort of the fine food provadores and the more sort of high-end seafood shops and dropping them off some samples.

And then we started sending samples to some people that we thought might have some influence like MasterChef alumni and people like that to try and get some feedback from them.

And luckily enough, had quite a few people like that share things on their social media, which really helped, I guess, get our name out there and and get some sales happening.

I mean, no question, tinfish has become an internet phenomena of recent times.

Such a moment.

that's also – do you not think it's because we're looking back at it like we have – is that like what? Rose-colored glasses.

Rose-colored glasses are like – not confirmation bias, but like because we're older now and that we have nostalgia for that moment.

Like there are kids now that would think of, you know, the last season of MasterChef as this 10 years ago.

Okay.

We're gonna dig into the diversity that defines Melbourne's food scene, plus the immigrant communities that shaped its neighborhoods and markets to the dishes that you'll want to seek out when you're there.

CJ and I will get into my obsession about MasterChef Australia, and I'm going to point you towards the spot where I enjoyed the best orange coffee I've ever had.

I'll also take you to lunch with 1,700, yep, 1,700 other diners.

And I'm also going to give you the electric energy of the Formula One weekend, including hanging out with Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris.

But no, the point is... being is that it's this really rich diverse city that's been empowered by incredible immigration it's so close to some of the most delicious other countries in the world whether it's vietnam or the philippines japan korea they also have a really delicious immigration story from italy and greece and as a new world it's one of those places where people came to visit with their family ended up staying and that delicious footprint is really throughout the entire city But I'm going to be really honest.

One of the motivating factors for me to head to Australia was because I'm obsessed.

I'm so obsessed with a little TV show called MasterChef Australia.

And as you know, the MasterChef franchise is around the world.

There is so much information in it.

I'm not that far through at the moment, but it's so dense, and that is a story that I'll be reading covering very soon and that's also a great documentary if you haven't watched that one the Richard Ramirez story uh I also will say I have a comedy podcast if you want to listen to that it's called Confessions available and all the things it's been going for ages I just read silly reddit confessions to great guests every single week I've had recently Gretel Colleen and Alvin Kwa from MasterChef and both on the latest series of Traitors.

Absolutely fascinating.
