Master of Kung Fu

Um, but just beautiful art.

Um, Master of Kung Fu I loved.

Mm-hmm.

Uh, Paul Galacy and those.

Like they have all these crazy names.

And then go over to Master of Kung Fu and look at all of the villains that were fighting Shang-Chi.

It's a wild journey.

And Sabretooth fits into this catalog of villains in the way that the Silver Samurai kind of does.

in the snow as he's moving quietly.

And then Iron Fist gets to Kia Sejak him before defeating our supervillain with several deliciously placed punches.

Now, Marvel was publishing Master of Kung Fu during this time, the Shang-Chi book, but they were also publishing a black and white magazine called Deadly Hands of Kung Fu that would have some original character features and a lot of prose pieces and like training pieces to like teach kids how to practice meditation and karate and kung fu at home.

So this is always fun, I'm sure, as a reader in the 70s to see what you're reading about in the magazines being used by your heroes.

The special Marvel editions, which would turn into Master of Kung Fu, I think that's the later part of 1973, and this is sort of the earlier part of 1974.

well i mean i'm always happy to do a spider-man no matter what and we're just really into the the whole master of kung fu and shawn chi and and uh and it's all kind of it's just a good time for us to do it it was kind of a natural progression

Well, and anytime I get to read a Ross Andrews Spider-Man story, I'm on cloud
