Master Mold

Eric was voiced on X-Men 97.

He voiced the Sentinels and Master Mold.

And he was only 47, so not that much older than us, which is very sad.

Oh, no. That's awful.

And it for me was fun storytelling when I first read it.

So Bastion, if I give the 30-second really complicated origin, is the mind of Stephen Lang uploaded into the body of Master Mold, combined with the time-traveling mutant hunter Nimrod from the future, passed through the siege perilous and altered into the form of a man who initially doesn't know his identity,

but is programmed to hate mutants.

He launches Operation Zero Tolerance, which is a contain-and-kill policy through Sentinels, And later, even though he's trying to kill mutants in this story by involving Nimrods and all kinds of things, and the Technarch virus, which we'll get to, later he comes back in that X-Men Blue story and is like, now I have to use Sentinels to protect mutants so that they don't die off so that later I can come back and wipe them out.

You fight a mega sentinel that's just kind of not that satisfying.

It's a version of Master Mold.

You fight Mr. Sinister.

He was a little challenging at times.

Though by the end, like, uh, Evolution was getting some pretty c- sick action sequences too.

Uh, basically, um, to, to, to do Charles's warning, uh, he said he'd look, poke around the future and find out what this Master Mold, or what this, uh-

Wol- Wolverine does look funny, yeah

He does, right? Especially in that scene.

Like, it's, it's, it's a little weird.

Um, yeah, so we got, uh, Charles warns him, you know, that he's trying to prevent what's going on in the future.

He's gonna poke around, see if he can find out more information about what Logan had discovered about the inhibitor collars and, uh, programs they're working on, including one called Master Mold.

Uh, so he goes to the future.
