Master builder

so architects watch out no one said that these things are coming for your job but we do fully see that the role of the architect is changing and is being disrupted at speed from multiple different angles and platforms and to add to that more people than ever told me this week that they think that they we are heading back to the master builder the master builder being where one person or one firm both designed and built the entire project before the architect and the contractor became separate jobs all together.

We argued that exact discussion back on an episode on this in April earlier this year.

And last point in this very last section is that if you remember some time ago, and I put this to Andrew, we talked about how no construction leaders, and in fact, most people within corporations are not seeing any change benefit or productivity gain from the use of AI so far.

He also said that now when they're hiring people internally at Autodesk, they consider reducing the amount of people that they want and then giving them a technology spend on top.

So, for example, if they were going to hire 10 people, maybe now they only hire five or seven and give each engineer within the company a technology budget of, say, another two, two and a half thousand dollars per month to see if they can realize any productivity gain that way.

Building sector looks okay.

Got the Master Builders annual state of the sector research this morning.

68% have got strong or steady pipelines.

Good.

Good.

But 68% of builders say projects have been hit a bit by consenting delays.
