And in the early 1980s, a group of bird conservationists and farmers got together to reintroduce vultures into the Grands Causses.

That's the plateaus in the south of the Massif Central, very wild.

They're cliffs that are suitable for nests and full of sheep farmers.

Today, there are the four species of European vultures in the area, the griffin vultures doing particularly well, and some say too well.

The head of the river, yeah.

Which flows north To begin with, through the Massif Central, or the large mountain range there, very volcanic area, and then turns west and flows out to the Atlantic.

And all along the way, you get what are known as the central vineyards, which includes Sancerre and Puy-Fumé.

And then you move through Chinon and Vouvray and all of these places out to Muscadet near the Delta.
