Mason Gillis

So I played Zach Eady on his senior night, which was crazy.

It was Zach Eady's senior night, Mason Gillis.

It was all those guys' senior night.

It was crazy in there.

You know, they might be an elite sniper shooter on paper, but then when they get to Duke, it just doesn't kind of work out that way for whatever reason.

Mason Gillis, Jacob Grandison, neither of them shot nearly as well as I think Duke fans were expecting.

But obviously, Blackwell is a much more versatile all-around player, can put the ball on the floor, can score from the mid-range.

He can get to the rim, get fouled, hit his free throws.

He just never seems to force anything.

He just takes kind of what the defense gives him and takes the appropriate shot or he just passes it up.

I love that you brought up Jacob Grandison and Mason Gillis, Raul, because we've been talking a lot about the transfer portal success of Duke, and those are names that I haven't mentioned in quite some time.

So thanks for putting a smile on my face and the contributions those guys made in all seriousness.

Is it

going to be weirder or more or less weird than Mason Gillis in a Duke jersey? Uh, more weird.

Right.

I think so.

And then you had your centers, right? Sian would have his moments.

He had Mason Gillis.

etc.

But this team, it just seems like, and it's really early, so this can change.
