Mason Falslev

Yeah, with Utah State, if you told me before this game that Falslev and Hall and Carson Templin would all score under 10 points.

I don't think I would have thought they lost to Idaho State, but I don't know that I would have thought they scored 94 as a team.

And so that's a that's a sign of the depth that this team has.

So I don't know if he's just like a super streaky player, if they're messing with their lineups and tinkering around a little bit.

But if he can do this, you know, even if even if it's against Idaho State, if he can drop 25, 26 off the bench, that's phenomenal for this team.

Falslev fouled out.

So that's a little odd.

Like, I think I like Texas State a little more than, you know, maybe than I thought I did.

Obviously, players to watch in this league, Mason Falslev, like – Obviously, no surprise that he's going to be on this list.

I would say DJ Hall at Texas State, big-time player there last year.

Can he take the step up and be really good in this level? Ronnie Harrison, Lazarek Houston at Washington State kind of are their players to watch.

I guess I'll just run through some hoops talk real quick before we get out of here.

My preseason player of the year, Mason Falslev of Utah State.

My coach of the year, Mark Few, although if they win the league and it's just exactly as expected, is that really worthy of being coach of the year? This is something that I always go back and forth on, and I actually talked about this with Tyler King.

I, in the preseason, said...

I think with Dallin Hall, who's the transfer they got from Virginia, who spent time at BYU.

I think with Dallin Hall in the mix, Mason Falslev's my pick for basketball.

player of the year.

I know people are, I had some folks a little disoriented with me for picking against the Zags.

So every time Gonzaga is not picked to win, they do really, really well.

We'll see what it looks like this year when they, of course, were picked to win.

like we mentioned the player impact list this is probably not a shock to anybody who heard that there are two players picked for every team for gonzaga those two players are the two returners braden huff and davis fogel expected to be the top two leading scorers for this team both players who are expected to be in national conversations in fact they are which is what we're going to talk about in the third and final segment of the show so not a real shock there uh for utah state it's the two i talked about mason falslev and dallin hall For San Diego State, it's the two key returners for them, Taye Simmons and LZ Harrington.

For Oregon State, Josiah Lake, which is not a surprise.

I mean, they looked good in their first exhibition game against St. Mary's.

And they didn't have Mason Falslev in that game.

And now they play Santa Clara.

And again, I think it's a nice kind of barometer because Santa Clara and St. Mary's are often considered the top two teams in the new look WCC.

And a lot of folks kind of have them very even, like think they're close in terms of how they are perceived this year.

And so for Utah State, we effectively saw how they look with and without WCC.

Mason Falslev, and they beat St. Mary's.

They did give up a lot of points to St. Mary's, but they still won that game.
