Okay, so it seems as though maybe Boruto: Two Blue Vortex and the Boruto story as a whole might not be canon after some recent events regarding the emergence of the new Naruto: Shadow Rising manga that was announced at New York Comic Con with Naruto's original creator, Masashi Kishimoto, being at the helm of this thing.

Yeah, things is getting crazy and everybody's going nuts over this.

So in case you don't know, there's a new manga called Naruto: Shadow Rising that was announced that is going to be created by the original creator of Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto.

It's supposed to be debuting next year with some info to come at the end of this year at Jump Festa, and this story in particular, the announcement of it alone, has the entirety of the community going nuts and so much to discuss, especially in particular regarding the future of the Boruto story, because one of the major aspects when this was even initially talked about was the fact that people was wondering, like, wait a minute, Boruto still has a manga coming out right now, the Two Blue Vortex story.

What is this going to mean? Now timeline-wise, based on what we can gather from the trailer or whatnot, it seems as though it's going to be taking place in the, quote-unquote, blank period or whatever you wanna call it, basically, after the last Naruto the movie but before the Boruto story begins.

Big news for Naruto fans.

The franchise is getting a new anime TV series, and author Masashi Kishimoto is releasing another Naruto manga titled Shadow Rising.

The new anime series will be a crossover with the popular manga Ninku, and will be supervised by both Kishimoto and Ninku creator Koji Kir-Kiriyama.

Per the description for the upcoming Naruto x Ninku anime, Team Seven members Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura are given a mission by Kakashi.
