Marysville

So I was at the branch, we'd have parents drop off kids, then we get them on the bus and then we bus them to the school.

And then when I would get done with that bus loop, I'd walk down the sidewalk, pretty similar to Marysville Y where the early learning center was on campus.

And so I'd get off the bus and then I'd walk down to the early learning center and then work in the three-year-old classroom.

We called them creative critters was the three-year-old classroom.

But I will say, yeah, cultures can be different and even just how an association is set up.

But I think what's been reassuring and most Y professionals that have moved one place, serving the mission never changes.

Like that's going to be whether you're in Savannah, Georgia, or you are in Monroe or Mill Creek or Marysville, like anywhere.

It's everybody is serving the mission to what is needed in their community.

I hit my eye in a wheel housing of one of the airplanes and I had to go to medical and I had cut it open for three or four stitches and they sent me home that day.

So I got home, was living in Marysville, Washington.

I got home and my wife, she was still on maternity leave.

She was like, hey, I'm just going to get out.

But yeah, overall, so far, Seattle Temple is at 15% utilization.

And then we've got a temple in Marysville, half an hour north, being built.

And we've got the Tacoma Temple, a half hour south, being built.

And Vancouver, not too far away.

So

Seattle, you can see the Seattle temple.

You can see the temples that are announced, the Marysville temple, right? And

the Tacoma,

You know, the idea of the Sonics coming back would be that they would play in Climate Pledge Arena.

But there are apparently some interested investors who would like to put the Sonics on the Tulalip Reservation near Marysville.

So there is some allure.

We all agree to having a connection to tribal communities, and I get that.

There's also always going to be traffic.

But the difference is Climate Pledge has so many different plans for transit and walkability.

And Marysville, as much as we might like the idea, is not.

Light rail is not

bid

to bring them to a new arena and entertainment district on the Tulalip tribal land in Marysville.

That's cool.

Where's that? It is cool.

Marysville is north.

So this could present a problem, though.

Like if you're trying to come from Tacoma to go see the Supersonics play.
