The constellation of House Republican super PACs, be it the Trump PACs or the Congressional Leadership Fund, have begun redirecting its financial resources away from some early offensive targets, including Texas's 28th district, Florida's 25th, New York's third, and California's 13th, freeing up those funds.

to spend on defense for their own members I wrote about all of these districts a couple weeks ago because they were in a bucket of seats that I realized Republicans were vastly outspending Democrats in over the first couple weeks of the post-Labor Day cycle in September and early October.

Clearly, after having that massive advantage, Republicans felt like they weren't moving the needle, and so they've pulled out of those races and are retrenching in places where they've got more vulnerable incumbents, like in Arizona 6th, or even places where they're defending open seats in Republican territory like South Carolina's 1st District.
