Mary Simon

uh, outfit.

So just, um, Mary Simon, uh, was our governor general and she was from Nunavik?

Nunavik.

Nunavik.

And then you, or you did this like incredible, could you tell us, please let me stop talking about it.

Please tell us about it.

So I've known Mary Simon my whole life because she was really, I mean, she still is, really good friends with my mom when they were young, when my mom was going to school here.

Mary Simon was also living here and they were both working at the CBC radio station.

the reason we asked you back is because there is, uh, there's more awards being given out to, in the, to the RCMP and members of the, I guess, the team that was involved in the Mass Casualty Commission.

And, uh, there was 23 awards announced last year, we don't know to whom, and now there's more awards going out, and Governor General Mary Simon is to give out some of these awards to, yeah, RCMP members plus members of the commission team, team that worked on, uh, the disclosure.

All, every, lots of people are getting awards.

So thought it would be good to get your views on this, uh, not only as family members of, uh, some of the victims of the mass shooting, but also, uh, having sat on the implementation committee.

As part of the Commonwealth realm, Canada's current monarch is Charles III.

His representative in Canada is a Governor General, a position currently held by Mary Simon.

The head of government is the Prime Minister.

Justin Trudeau is the 23rd and current Prime Minister, having first been elected to the Prime Minister's office in 2015.

All right, number four.

What Greek title for Mary, meaning God-bearer or mother of God, was affirmed at the Council of Ephesus? title for Mary, God-bearer or mother of God? The answer is Theotokos.

Theotokos.

T-H-E-O-T-O-K-O-S.

It means the God-bearer.

This was a big, big controversy.

Can we call Mary the mother of God? Yeah, Mary's the mother of Jesus, but well, listen, as a Protestant even, I believe that Mary is, you know, blessed among women, along with Judith and Jael.

And saying that she is the mother of God is a big deal, but when we call her the mother of God, we're actually saying more about Jesus than we are about her.
