Mary Long

Okay.

There's been plenty of folks that have been surmising this is the return of Mary Long, and they're going to activate her off the D45.

Well, as you heard, should have heard, hopefully have heard, from training this week, Chris Armas has told us that Mary Long is still not in full training.

Because

I've been there a couple times over the last month, and I have not seen her out there.

I have checked in on this and I got a hold.

Thank you from Wayback Machine and some other fun avenues of getting a hold of basically the competition manual.

um and the so so from what i can see because they only announced changes to the 2025 one but the 2025 one um is exists um and i have seen it recently um the You can only bring two players a season off of season ending injury list because the Kansas City current at the time of Mary Long's torn ACL, which happened in December, which was at the beginning of the new league year in 2026 league year had already begun and the 2025 league year had ended.

And the fact that there is this invitation... of a conflict of interest, naturally, by having her on the team.

And so people are going, like, well, if she, you know, like, if he didn't want to play Mary Long, then, like, who are they gonna pick? And that, to me, does...

Like, that is a valid question for people to be asking in terms of how they make decisions around this team.

And it's something that they've done to themselves.

wow how incredible and how that's kind of a pattern as well well you know what let me just let me talk about it a little bit because and

yeah it is a conflict it is a conflict of interest and it did seem that i mean whether it was contentious or not i have no idea but it did seem that black code didn't really want to play mary too much nothing against her she's also very young a lot of young players don't get a lot of playing time and haven't reached their potential yet but i don't think they're without any outside forces i don't think there'd be any nwsl coach that would play mary long gianna paul players like that young players that don't have a lot of experience a whole lot in this league

Yeah, that's the big thing that we've noticed since Mary signed with the team.

So, you know, we have a clear vision now that involves the future of Chris Armas and Mary Long.

And we no longer have that rapscallion Vlatko standing in the way of these things.
