There was just a talky bit between him and MJ and I just rested my eyes.

And I know it was only, actually it wasn't even five minutes, probably three and four minutes.

Spider-Man Far From Home, he felt the loss of Tony more than he felt the loss of, you know, more than he felt the loss of Ned and Daya.

Since it's such a popping movie, we're not trying to do spoilers, but then again, chances are you're probably gonna be listening to this episode in September, and by then, like, the spoiler ban, it will be up.

So, it'll be fair game by then, but here we go.

So, essentially, with Doctor Strange's magic spell, uh, making the world forget that Peter Parker exists, he chooses to protect his girlfriend, uh, MJ, and his best friend, Ned, by not reint- reintroducing himself to them.

So, over the next four years, he anonymously protects New York City as celebrated hero Spider-Man.

That's very good that you got both sides of that right.

And then I liked the fact that MJ was, you know, kind and brought him up to like hang out and all that stuff.

And all the dialogue in that was good.

And like when she said, like, you know, you should let dead know he can handle it.

That's a way

of me saying I completely agree with you.

I think all of the MJ and Peter stuff worked really well in this, particularly the fact that maybe we're talking around it, but it doesn't super resolve great.

It was Green Goblin, I believe, so it's definitely a heavy hitter.

One of the things that's been really cool, if you're keeping it, Ernie, is we've been getting these Spider-Man single-carded representations of the characters so they're all really consistent and it's formatted the same it was a bummer that Mary Jane was relegated to a two pack before because I was like that would have been a figure that would have been really cool on card because you had Gwen Stacy and you had Peter Parker so like this kind of completes a lineup for me so I think this is really cool I'm getting this figure because I did not make myself get a two pack for one figure I could hear this figure talking She's happy.

She has concerns.

She does it all.

I bet you you can find the rose figure for cheaper.

When you go and play Spider-Man Remastered, It just looks incredible.

And then Spider-Man 2, just some of the face models, just no, I'm not talking about Mary Jane, but some of the face models were just so just off.

Is

that because, though, you can actually switch the fidelity, though, now?

The screenwriters here did a great job of making Peter and Jean Grey two versions of the same emotional problem.

What happens when grief and evolving power leaves you feeling isolated? And the whole first, like, two-thirds of the movie, where we watch Peter use Spider-Man to avoid confronting the loss of Aunt May, MJ, and Ned, are leading up to this really great poignant moment with the Punisher, where Frank clarifies that if his loved ones were still alive, he'd drop the superhero shit and go be with them at once.

That alone justifies the inclusion of the Punisher.

I thought that scene was really strong.

Before this movie came out, I had such...

Mixed feelings about a lot of things going on in it.

I was really worried about MJ being right around, right introduced, right off the bat.

And, you know, the whole point of the previous movie was getting rid of them.

There's another element in, I think it's this one again, of him writing...

MJ's slang and the way she speaks like she's in a 1940s jazz club she's all hey forget about it dad and all this kind of

I like that dad just sort of meant mate for a while or buddy daddy-o isn't it she doesn't even say daddy-o she just says dad

that i know you had mj and ned who were great again but again it's all quite it's all just sad do you know what i mean i thought they should have they should have like connected more which as in plot wise they should have needed each other to make the plot work whereas they were just kind of there.

And I know MJ came into it more, but she was still just kind of there to be rescued, and I think pointed out one thing or something.

Yeah.

There's a couple of swinging sequences where it's clearly like a mannequin No,

in Spider-Man 1 when he rescues Mary Jane, she's just hugging a mannequin while the green screen does the actual movement.

Yeah, but still, some of those web swinging things.

But that's just the flair and style that Sam Raimi puts into them.
