It feels utopian.

And then when I got to write about it, I thought, I'll do geology, I'll do history, I'll do biography of the famous people in the Sierra Nevadas, like Mirren and Norman Clyde and Clarence King and others, Mary Austin.

And then I'll also do my memoir stranded through it to the extent that it seems interesting to me.

So it was about a quarter of the book, but it's all the memoir I ever planned to write.
