Turning to Gaza, the perspective on elections among ordinary civilians is markedly different.

And when, I, I just, this has to be another rant of mine here, and I apologize, but when I see, uh, uh, the headline this week, Marvel actors call for Barghouti's release, and you think to yourself, "This is not a serious, this is not serious." I mean, I, uh, uh, also think as an Israeli who, you know, I, I said what are the things that bother me done from the Israeli side, I think it's okay that I say [laughs] what bothers me from the, uh, outer world side, outside world side.

I mean, just to say, um, first of all, that feeling like you're not being taken seriously because this isn't serious, but also because Marwan Barghouti was involved in terror attacks that killed five Israelis.

Now, it's okay to say, "Look, uh, Yitzhak Rabin tried to reach out and say we make peace with enemies." It's okay to say, "He is a terrorist, but we will think." But when you make him, romanticize him into this figure, I think it's very hard for Israelis, the mainstream Israelis, to relate to that.

That was just my rant, but we can keep on discussing other things if you'd like.

On this particular issue, you and I might be in different places.

I do think it's essential that, uh, uh, no, essential's putting it the wrong way.

I think it will be a sign that Israel is serious about peace when it releases Marwan Barghouti.

Let's put it that way.
