Marvin's Room

This is Chris Witt's Morning Devotions.

There's an amazing scene in a movie you might have seen back in 1996 called Marvin's Room.

Do you remember the movie? Bessie.

Well, Bessie was played by the actress Diane Keaton, who was caring for her ill father and her aunt for about 20 years.

They weren't getting on very well.

And Lee, her sister, was played by Meryl Streep.

So here you have the scene in the movie Marvin's Room.

And Bessie says to Lee, I've been lucky to have had so much love in my life.

And, um, you know, Ashley talked a lot about one of her mentors, Diane Keaton, her fairy godmother, and I just feel for this Polar Plunge I wanna remind us all of some of the many great films that Diane made.

Check out Marvin's Room if you haven't seen that.

It's so good, and Meryl Streep is in it, and a young Leonardo DiCaprio, and it's such good acting.

Uh, uh, Reds, an incredible movie with Warren Beatty.
