Marulan

In all directions around Ginginbullan, beautiful farm and grazing lands may now be seen, many of which were surveyed in 1821, while the eastern slope of the hill itself is noted for its very fine residences.

We had a fine open meadow country with fine green hills, but the forest ground is not so good as I could wish it to be, for the soil is a ruddy yellow look and brushy.

We concluded to bring two for the night.

Distance 11 miles.

According to these records it would seem the explorers were continuing a course approximating that now followed by the main southern road and by the night of March 22nd they should have been somewhere to the westward or south-westward of Marulan and there are no serious obstructions between that locality and Ginginwullen to have prevented them from having kept a fairly direct course.
