And, you know, if we're going to sort of talk really big picture from the vision for the Chartered College, as far as I'm concerned, the more that we enable and empower the profession, the less hidebound the profession is by external judgment or fear of external judgment.

And actually, when I've spoken to Sir Martin Oliver, who leads Ofsted, about this very issue, he is really keen for the profession to feel much more confident about explaining their practice, about stepping forward in terms of leading schools rather than kind of constantly fearing judgment fearing what are they going to think about this what are they going to think about that that's very that paralyzes innovation the same with the government the government's um send agenda is huge and it's very brave actually because they they're trying to turn the tide on something that has become so difficult to manage you know the imperative you for parents and schools is to exacerbate deficit is to say this child is really really bad because of this way and how awful as a parent to have to constantly focus on the negative with your child you know your instinct as a parent is to celebrate every tiny little milestone and wants to sort of you know be proud and because you love them so much the idea that you actually have to celebrate milestones in the opposite direction and say well look that they couldn't do this this is evidence how much help they need that's a very depressing kind of way of looking at learning and education and schools are supporting that because schools need the resource that comes with an EHCP or the equivalent in order to be able to cater for the needs of the children so everybody's in a race to the bottom

So the question I guess we're going to ask in the first 15, 20 minutes is, what is going to happen next and what should happen next.
