They were the first ones.

Prior to that, I mean, even like, I'm trying to think, like Marty Wilde and people who made records in the late 50s, they used session musicians.

They might have had a live band, but they were never in the studio.

And, you know, Move It by Cliff.

And they were the first group to do that, the first sort of like young musicians who weren't, you know, ageing pros performing.

who would be trusted.

And because that happened, Marty Wilde then got the Wildcats together, which included Brian Bennett and Licorice Locking, who later became Shadows, and everything else, Vince Taylor and the Playboys, Shane Fenton and the Fentones.

And that really is, you know, that's where you get B.J. Kramer and the Dakotas, whatever the mercy beat groups, and everything leads on from there, really.

Because she's Marty Wilde's daughter.

Marty Wilde and Mickey Most must have known each other.

Yeah, I suppose so, yeah.

And Marty co-wrote all the songs.

The first film stars David Essex, Ringo Starr, Billy Fury, and Keith Moon.

The second film stars David Essex, Adam Faith, Larry Hagman, Marty Wilde, Keith Moon, Dave Edmunds, and Paul Nicholas.

The producer of the first film and the second film was a fellow called David Puttnam, who went on to have something of a incredible career to say the least.

So I should just preface this by saying that Scott's covered this film before on Real Britannia, and I covered this film back in 2013 with our very good friend Dr. Zomb on the Love That Album podcast.

He'd written some rock and roll songs.

And there was a talent show going on in Liverpool with the record label producer guy called Larry Parnes, who had a thing of calling all his artists by the name of Marty Wilde, Vince Eager, you know, Johnny Gentle, Duffy Power.

Anyhow, he went along to see if he could interest Larry Parnes.
