Marty McManus

And I can remember that crucial series when they had brown and white barrels on the street corners in which the fans were asked to contribute to the, uh, welfare of the St. Louis Browns, who, if they won the pennant, were going to have a holocaust of a celebration down there, and were going all out to treat the Browns to wonderful things.

Those were the days in which George Sisler, Horseface Ken Williams, uh, Baby Doll Jacobson, Marty McManus, Urban Shocker, and Johnny Tobin, and those fellows were playing for the St. Louis Browns.

They had a real good ball club.

Dixie Davis and Helam Vangilder and those players who played for them.
