Martin Pospisil

So I am a thousand percent with you on the Sharon Govich front.

The next one for me is a guy who we talked about a bit before, and that is Martin Pospisil.

I think he is someone who we talked about it the other day.

It's easy to not have him in the lineup.

[laughs] Um, besides that, like, I, I feel like Backlund with Feraby, that just feels like the n- the, the Blake Coleman you have at home.

Um, but then who plays with them? And where does everyone else go in? If Zary continues to have some of the struggles that he had from last season, can a, a Klapka take his spot? Can a Pospisil take his spot? Where does Sharon Govich fit in this? So I feel like at forward, and tell me if you disagree with this, John, but I feel like at forward, the pieces are all kind of there.

It's just a matter, matter of where they all fit into the puzzle.

Mm-hmm.

It'll be interesting.

The one thing I do wonder about th- this Flames roster, and I was batting this around with a few buddies of mine in some conversations I was having is, is there a veteran in mind, and I have one in mind, so I'll give you time to think about this, Peter.

Is there a veteran you have in mind that could play his way off of this roster? A, a guy who needs to have himself a strong training camp? 'Cause I think Martin Pospisil fits squarely in that camp.

It's always about talking about these camp battles and how do we get young kids in this roster.

I don't know where the roster spot is for him.

Would a guy like Ryan Huska be comfortable sitting Adam Klopka or Pospisil or Siplikov or Sharangovich or Zeri? Would he be willing to sit multiple of those players in order to get Sunyev into the lineup? I mean, Sunyev would have to light up the preseason and training camp to even push for that kind of role, but...

I just I really liked what I saw from him last year.

And I do think he'll play in the NHL at some point this year, you know, whether it's injuries or trades or whatever, whatever happens.

I wonder if there's guys on this roster, though, that can play their way off of it.

We saw a struggling Klapka at the end of last year.

We saw a struggling Pospisil throughout the year, even though the injuries weren't part of that involved.

Is Siplyakov ready to be a full-time NHLer? Or can he be a full-time in each other? What is Tyson Gross? Those type of players.

You like having the options there.

For me, I did some lines the other day as I was preparing for another show and doing other things here, and I had a hard time deciphering between Pospisil, Klapka, and Sliplikov.

Who's in the lineup? Who's out of the lineup? Who's on my fourth line? Should I move somebody up? And frankly, I got Klapka and Sliplikov in this rotation on my fourth line because I need to see the consistency out of the big man.

Yeah.

Who's scoring goals.

Who's getting you that depth scoring.

Are you relying on Faraby and Sharon Govich to get gold? You need to find these goals, the inconsistency of Klapka and Pospisil.

Can you find goal? So for me overall, Robert, I'm actually very worried at how these flames are going to score goals because We're going to have to see a lot of Daryl Sutter 2-1 hockey again.
