Martin Gallegos

Jeff Passan reported that Taylor Smith, who is currently one of Boston's senior vice presidents, this is actually Jason Burke's story about Jeff Passan's tweet, as well as assistant GMs, they've also interviewed Michael Groupman, who is another assistant GM for the Red Sox.

We talked about Michael Groupman in our initial kind of look at the GM candidates that Martin Gallegos put together.

And one of the things that's really interesting about Taylor Smith is that he was poached from Tampa Bay in October of 2024.

So he spent two full years with the Red Sox as their assistant GM.

These are actual GM candidates that appear to be viable options for the jobs.

And the reason that we know that is that Martin Gallegos has produced these GM candidates.

And Martin Gallegos is affiliated with Major League Baseball.

He is the A's official beat writer for Major League Baseball.

So if anyone would have an official list of candidates, it would be him.

And then at the end, of course, we go over your comments.

But first and foremost, we have a list of general manager candidates.

They are supplied to us by Martin Gallegos.
