Now, for those who don't know Martha Mitchell, she was Attorney General John Mitchell's eccentric southern drunk wife who had no problems going in front of every reporter in D.C. and saying the president was a crook, corrupt as the day is long, and would use colorful language to describe him.

Madeleine Kahn played her in the film Nixon.

Julia Roberts played her in the film Gaslit.

And in the musical, it should probably be like Elaine Stritch or Rue McClanahan or somebody.

Well, she gets to sit John down and sing the Act One Closer.

Yes, Martha Mitchell is going to close the first act.

And she was working on...

Her project was to do... a film a little biopic about Martha Mitchell who was um the woman from Watergate who knew everything and no one listened to her and everyone said she was crazy and um anyway I'm sorry Diane never got to make that maybe Laura Dern if you hear this if you hear this podcast um

exactly oh my gosh so yeah so wonderful and eden was so great her her first film she's such a great dora just kind of so believable so kind of awkward and not sure what's going on and anyway it was great
