Markus Näslund

This was from a couple weeks ago.

Our top five, we went over that a while ago, but his top five are Henrik and Daniel Sedin, Marcus Naslund, Trevor Linden, and Pavel Bure.

And honorable mention to Luongo, Smeal, and McLean.

And if you go look at it over the annals, let's say from 94 to... 2007, go look at the amount of assists that Marcus Naslund had in the league.

And look, he was not as big as Schlaff, but there are some similarities.

You know, everybody talks about Yarmir.

They were really good, and all because of Marcus.

You remember that line.

There was a period of time that that was one of the best lines in the NHL, and Marcus Naslund was one of the five best players in the NHL.

It wasn't a long time, but there was a period of time there that he really was that guy.

So you know what? I'm gonna be a little bit braggadocios for a second.

I was really fortunate enough in 1991 to be part of a m-management team that drafted Markus Naslund.

Let, let me just remind you, you might not remember this 'cause you're three, but people criticized Marcus Naslund for the same-

You used the word mellow captain.

Uh, interviews after a game, before a game, there, there wasn't a whole lot of energy there.

But Marcus Naslund, on the ice, w- well, uh, there was a lot there.

And he-

And, you know, the fifth most points ever by an 18-year-old in, in the Swedish, uh, hockey league last year at 33 in 43 games.

Talking about guys like Daniel Sedin, Henrik Sedin, Marcus Naslund.

He was kinda in that company of what he did last year.

Very impressive.
