Mark Z. Barabak

I'm Larry Mantle.

I so enjoy reading political columnist Mark Barabak, who covers national elections so well.

For the Los Angeles Times, we've been trying to get Mark on, and he's so busy, but we got him today, and I'm very excited to get a chance to talk with him.

Mark Barabak, political columnist for the Times.

Good morning.

Hi, Larry.

All of that said, this is Texas, the place where Democratic dreams go to die.

So when it comes to that race, I'll believe it when I see it.

Mm-hmm.

And who better to discuss, uh, what's gonna happen, uh, than my, uh, friend and, uh, former colleague, Mark Z. Barabak, ace political columnist for the Los Angeles Times.

How you doing, brother?

I'm just splendid.

Well, don't sleep on the Santa Barbara mayor's race, pal.

We're always glad to see you down here.

[laughs] Lot, we got a lot of interesting stuff going on, but, uh, MarkZBarabak.com. That's for the Los Angeles Times.

Uh, check him out.

David Wagner reports.

I'll be co-moderating with LA Times journalists Mark Barabak and Seema Mehta.

We'll ask Hilton about housing affordability, homelessness, climate change, and other issues.

We'll also ask how he plans to work with President Trump, who has endorsed him in the race.
