HaydenHOST

It's quite funny, two years ago, uh, when Mark Winterbottom and Scott Pye were racing for Team 18, neither of the Team 18 cars finished the race 'cause they fucked up the, the fuel strategy.
JoelHOST
39:27
Oh, yeah, right.
HaydenHOST
39:28
And then Anton is leading the Bathurst 1000 at the end of the fucking weekend.

Now, this is from the 2015 season, which is when, uh, a guy named Chaz Mostert, Mostart, Mostart, Mostert, and Mark Winterbottom raced for this team.
MattHOST
20:28
Now, it's significant because 2015, the exact same year that Mark Winterbottom won the V8 and Chaz won in 2025.
MattHOST
20:37
So it's got that history.
MattHOST
20:38
It's got that, you know, recency bias.
Richard CraillGUEST
9:47
So they've been doing it for two decades.
Richard CraillGUEST
9:48
And, you know, if you're, you know, Ma- um, Mark Winterbottom, for example, was driving with Cam Waters, and, and they didn't have a great day, but Mark Winterbottom's won the race.
Richard CraillGUEST
9:58
He started 600 Supercar races.
Richard CraillGUEST

What a guy to roll out once a year-
Mark LevyHOST
71:32
And for that, everyone should be congratulated.
Mark LevyHOST

Just on supercars, I said earlier, I've never been a motor racing fan, right? But can someone explain to me how, with all of the tech, you run out of petrol? Like, if I've got a little gauge in my car, my Parramatta BMW, of which I have a commercial agreement, if I have a little gauge that flashes at me and says, Levy, get your backside of the petrol station or you're going to run out of fuel, how the hell do you run out of fuel on the final lap of the Bathurst 1000? Have we got any rev heads out there? I think it was Mark Winterbottom who ran out of petrol.
Mark LevyHOST
72:13
Was it coming around the last turn in a Bathurst 1000? Look, I'm going to leave it to the experts here.
Mark LevyHOST
72:18
Revheads, motor racing fans, how does it happen? I think I heard, who's the Kiwi in commentary yesterday? Great driver that he was himself.

Race two again saw two Ford's drivers on the podium.
Steve RichardsGUEST
25:21
You're there for the weekend to work together to get that result.
Steve RichardsGUEST
25:26
And you're right, you know, guys like Jason Bright and Greg Murphy, Craig Lowndes and Mark Winterbottom, who I was lucky enough to drive with, they are great drivers and they'll go down in history, you know, some of the... and have done already.
Steve RichardsGUEST
25:40
But I think, you know, there are other times where, you know, I don't think I've ever driven... with a bad driver.
Steve RichardsGUEST
25:48
And I think part of the process of getting the result at those events is to make sure that you work to each other's strengths and each other's weaknesses.
James PaveyHOST
17:01
Who knows what they could have in store for the race, Zach? Where are they starting? Well, Thomas
Zac DowdellHOST
17:05
Randall and Ruben Goodall are starting ahead of Cam Waters and Mark Winterbottom.
Zac DowdellHOST
17:08
Who would have picked that? Oh, exactly right.
Zac DowdellHOST
17:10
13th and 14th on the grid.
Zac DowdellHOST
17:20
So, but...
Zac DowdellHOST
17:23
It's been a really tricky weekend.
Zac DowdellHOST
17:25
Cam Waters looked pretty speedy today, though, despite the fact that the rear end of the car was stowed in in a bizarre practice incident where Mark Winterbottom was slowing down for yellow flags for wildlife.
Zac DowdellHOST
17:36
Duck for cover.
Andrew van LeeuwenHOST
8:16
there? So I feel like your best place to explain this situation.
Simon ChapmanGUEST
8:20
yeah well it basically looked like uh i think chas mostert was the first car to come up on some double waved yellows uh just exiting forest elbow going down conrod straight and he had mark winterbottom on his left and then coming up behind him quite quickly was uh james courtney and both cars the two cars in the front are side by side they've both hit the anchors pretty hard and that's left um jc with with nowhere to go and unfortunately he's gone straight into the back of frosty's car which was in the in the bigger picture like actually really um not good for those guys especially because you know they're they're trying to do long race runs uh they're not in the shootout they're really trying to get a handle on on their race car and they've been battling all weekend but yeah some a wee family of ducks and mother duck had made their way out onto the onto the track and and that brought the red flag out actually in the end
Stefan BartholomaeusHOST
9:17
yeah but the issue out of all that was james courtney not seeing first a single wave yellow and then a double wave yellow so we don't actually know whether he heard the radio comms that were played in the broadcast telling him about the yellow But certainly Potsy had told Frosty about it and that's obviously why he's worried up.
Stefan BartholomaeusHOST
9:35
So they did that TV thing with the two of them together and sort of tried to make it a bit jovial.
Mark SkaifeGUEST
7:03
You know, Brodie Kostecki, Hazel Wood, Mostert and Fabian Coulthard.
Mark SkaifeGUEST
